I met this lovely woman, Mary, on a trip to Virginia. I had just created a successful hyper-realism portrait, and was looking forward to doing another. Mary posed for me several times for photos, and this is the only drawing I’ve created, but there are so many more I would love to draw. Mary has had an interesting life, and I thought her face showed the years, and travels, and hardships she has endured, but also the adventure and amazing experiences she’s had. Because she is a spiritual person, I added a “tree spirit” to her portrait. Unfortunately, I’ve lost track of Mary, so if you recognize her, please have her get in touch with me!
